I participated in Comex 5, and then lost touch with so many great people. Recently I came across this website and wanted to reconnect. As I am just finishing a career I look back and am so surprised at the relationship between what I did and what COMEX 5 taught me, my memories of that trip are vivid today and they were while they were being created. Regards to all

Hi

I have already commented here some years back. I was one of the volunteer singers from India for an album in 2006-07.
Was studying in University of Delhi then and Mr Kamalkanth was working in the same college. I have remained fascinated by comex and its history since then. I wish it could take place again because I would surely be the first one to jump onto the bandwagon! :)
By the way as destiny would have it I have been in the UK since 2009, I am now studying at the University of Essex, Southend Campus and was just wondering if anything happens this side of the country, that I could attend, just to hear your experiences maybe?

I was a member of Comex 3 (1969) - Exeter University. Maybe the name is not familiar to many, but I was one of the five people of British Citizens ofIndian or Asian origins on Comex 3. We were not allowed to pass through Pakistan even though we were British Citizens and had to fly by Ariana Airlines from Kabul to Amritsar in India. Few days ago, a thought came to mind that there must be something on Google about Comex, and today I was amazed to find these sites. It is an absolute joy to see that it has been documented.

I was a photographer with the Exeter Contingent, and took a lot of pictures. Five boxes were sent to Norman Leigh (Exeter Leader after the bloodless coup relacing Graham Hawkins) - I do not know to this day if Norman ever got my packet. I lost contact with Norman, but once met him on the London underground near Ealing or thereabouts and he informed me that he was with the British Foreign Office somewhere on Davis Street in London.

Over the years, I have travelled to many places through work - I am a Civil Engineer, and have lost a lot of the pictures that I had taken - relocations and ex wife are responsible mainly. If anone from Exeter or other Comex 3 remembers me, I would welcome their contacts. I am also trying to trace one of the other Comex 3 member who was with me on the Kabul Flight, G Matharu from Aston, Birmingham. If he is there, I would appreciate his contact. I believe he was in the medical field.

And Finally, my greeting to all who participated in Comex Expeditions. I hope the Spirit of Comex lives on. Chat Sagoo

Hi,
I was googling and found myself in the midst of memories. I was one of two Americans on Comex 3, one of the Go Jo dancers, very touched by this site. I would like to give my best to Col.Gregory; "Baba Noma..." is still a rallying cry for me. The love of cultures, the Comex portal, opening eyes to adventure, risks, and worlds has been the doorway to what I have done with my life, my beliefs, and journeys I have been on. I want to say thank you.
I live in Vietnam, and if a fellow Comex explorer journeys to this part of the world, feel free to connect.
Best regards to everyone.
Bente

Subject:hello from Comex 10 . . .

well its great to see so many images of the COMEX expeditions and some old faces too.

India seems to have found its way back to me and we are now full supporters of www.aartihome.com - a childrens orphanage in Kadapa - Southern India.

So much so that we are thinking about moving there on a permanenet basis.

Thansk to everyone who has contributed to COMEX over the years and in turn helped me to get back to and appreciate my roots.

Khush
